The Department of the Air Force Action Shooting Team engages in action-based shooting sports competitions (USPSA, IDPA, PCSL, Multigun, Steel Challenge, etc.), focusing on the practical application of marksmanship, and is comprised of the best professional competitive shooters in the Department of the Air Force. This is the Department of the Air Force’s most active team, competing in over 200 matches annually, against sister services, DoD component Teams, and amateur and professional competitive shooters in local, regional, national, and international competition while serving as ambassadors for the Department of the Air Force. Additionally, the Action Shooting Team schedules and executes mobile training events, instructing practical marksmanship concepts and developing proficiency training to increase lethality and enhance critical weapons handling and combative capabilities. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as several military units, including Security Forces Squadrons and Special Operations Teams.
